About Amanda Williams - 362577^

My name is Amanda Williams and I am an Accredited Member of the BACP, providing Counselling for Individual Adults and Couples Counselling.

I am a Humanistic therapist with extensive experience of working within the field of childhood and adult sexual violence and trauma.

Each session is guided by the needs of the client using a variety of Humanistic approaches. This include the Person-centered approach, Transactional Analysis, Solution focused therapies, Gestalt and Existential approaches.

Using a trauma informed approach, I work safely and ethically with clients and we collaborate on the challenges together.

Childhood and adult traumas affect the self-esteem and self-confidence, and can lead to lifelong effects as people struggle to cope alone.

This can result in many negative effects, including  feelings of social anxiety, depression and addictions to name just a few!

The important thing for clients to know, is that therapy is a safe environment, where thoughts and feelings can be explored safely and without judgement.

After your initial enquiry, a free 20 minute introductory meeting is booked via text or email. Here i explain the process, take a few more details and book a first counselling session.

Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes, are priced at £60  per session. payable 24hrs in advance.

I also offer a free 20 minute introductory session for Couples which allows us to begin to identify the initial difficulty within the partnership and how this is affecting their relationship.

Couples therapy is £80 for 2 people for 60 minutes. The first session is together. I then see both parties separately for one session, at a cost of £60 each, before resuming the Couples sessions.

All sessions are payable 24hrs in advance.
