There are different types of membership available depending on your level of experience and credentials. There are also options for those who are members concurrently for a number of years.
Regardless of the level of membership, all members are required to abide by our Code of Ethics
NCIP Membership (Registered)
Accredited Member – MNCIP (Accred)
Supervisor Membership
Members can apply for Supervisor Membership as long as they have a Clinical supervisor qualification and a minimum of 4 years in practice.
We do consider other accreditations/supervisor status' you might have had from other/previous organisations, so not to have you jump through hoops for us.
NCIP Fellow
The grade of Fellow cannot be applied for. It is awarded to Full Members only for outstanding service to psychotherapy, coaching, or education within these areas, or to the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists, and is awarded solely at the discretion of the Management.
As a student, you are likely to be at the beginning of your career as a psychotherapist, coach, counsellor, or hypnotherapist. We intend to guide and support you as you progress to full membership and become an accredited member of the NCIP.
Student membership is open to those undertaking a course that includes classroom tuition and is at least diploma length (at least 37 credits or 370 notional study hours). Every unit and qualification has a credit value and a level.
One credit represents 10 notional hours of learning, showing how much time the average learner would take to complete the unit or qualification. The minimum level is to be equivalent to QCF Level 5, this is equal in complexity to the first year of a university degree or an HNC. The National Council accredits training centres and courses to these educational standards.
