As a professional but friendly integrative therapist, I can offer a variety of therapeutic interventions to help you work through things that may be holding you back, causing stress and affecting your emotions.
Having worked with patients and clients in nursing for 25 years - and more recently as a therapist - I have seen how well people can respond to a ‘non medication’ approach to emotional and mental wellbeing.
My journey into therapy began when I had talking therapy myself - and was impressed with the outcomes. I then decided to train and develop my skills in the area, to offer the benefits to others. I am now able to offer the following to my clients:
Counselling sessions are the traditional ‘talking therapy’. The sessions I provide use an Integrative approach, drawing on various modalities including, amongst others: Psychodynamic; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Transactional Analysis. Counselling focuses on you: your thoughts and feelings - and how you can work through and overcome the obstacles in your life - through individually designed sessions.
Hypnotherapy can be very effective in helping you to make changes in habits, improve emotional wellbeing and reduce stress and pain. It is a very powerful tool when tailored to you, your needs and desired outcomes. Hypnotherapy interventions address deep routed behavioural patterns and vary from direct suggestion, to Neurolinguistic Programming and Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy.
Eye Movement Therapies (EMDR and IEMT) are treatment protocols that use eye movements and other bilateral stimulation techniques to help process the memories that cause the negative emotions in an appropriate manner: making the memory less affective and helping you to move forward. EMDR uses a specific 9 stage protocol to help process thought, feelings and emoitions, and IEMT works on emotions and identity.
Working with me, my individual treatment plans can consist of one or all of the above therapies. At the free initial conversation, we would agree on the recommended treatment plan and how it would benefit you as I have a genuine desire to help you to Be Your Best.
