About me and my practice
I support you with common mental health and wellbeing difficulties.
My personal experience with (complementary) therapy motivated me to become a counsellor. The professional support I have received were invaluable for my personal growth.
Apart from running my private practice (Counselling Therapy), I also work with a charity providing therapy services for vulnerable women.
I teach counselling and psychotherapy trainees, and I am a Qigong coach (Qigong London).
Qigong is an ancient Chinese Martial Arts.
I am responsive, and have a great awareness to a multitude of needs.
Formerly, I worked in the education sector in The Netherlands.
Practice description
I accompany you on your journey to help you make sense of what is going on for you, and how your past experiences may impact the way you think, behave, and feel now.
I was raised with the view and believe that we humans exist of body, mind, and soul or spirit; they are interconnected. Therefore, I may if needed and wanted add ways to support you using valuable body-based, and body-mind tools based on Qigong breathing, Qigong Mindfulness Meditation and Qigong Mindful Movements exercises.
Research has shown that the practice of Qigong may help you with stress, anxiety, and depression.
When we choose to work together, you will become more aware of yourself and how you connect with other people around you, so you understand the reasons why you are finding these times challenging. With heightened awareness, you can make the choice to change.
First session
The first session is an assessment session to get an understanding of what you seek or need from counselling and to determine if and how it fits in with what I offer.
If we agree to work together, we will meet for another 7 sessions on a weekly basis on the same day at the same time (short-term).
We can decide to continue with long-term support after these 8 sessions.
Each session lasts 50 minutes.
