A Voluntary Service for Members - Enhanced DBS Checks
Enhanced DBS Checks Now Available for NCIP Practitioner Members
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding and professional excellence, the NCIP is pleased to offer its practitioner members access to Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks through a trusted DBS Umbrella service. This service ensures that our members working with children and/or vulnerable adults in private practice can demonstrate the same rigorous standards of safety and accountability as professionals in public institution.
Enhanced DBS Check
Enhanced DBS checks provide detailed information about an individual’s criminal record, including convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by the police. This level of scrutiny is crucial when working in sensitive settings, such as with children or vulnerable adults, to ensure the highest levels of trust and security.
In sectors such as the NHS, social services, emergency services, and education, Enhanced DBS checks are mandatory before employment. By making this service accessible to our members, we empower private practitioners to align with these safeguarding standards, enhancing their credibility and reassuring clients of their commitment to safety and professionalism.
